Twisted steel can be classified in two ways. One is based on geometry classification, upon which, we can have different types per the shapes of the cross sections of the cross ribs or per the distances of the ribs. We can see it in standard of BS 4449. The other is based on the performance of steel, like that the twisted steel is classified into three categories per its yielding strength in accordance with prevailing standard GB1499.2-2007.
