Pilot ladder is one kind of rope ladder, used for pilot boarding, so it is also called pilot assistant ladder, rope pilot ladder,etc. There are three types according to often-used length, 6mtrs, 9 mtrs and any lengths you need. According to distances between upper spread and upper ends, there are two types, A type and B type. The difference is posted on our blog. If clients need non-standard length, we will fabricate as Type B. Most ladder steps and spreaders are made of wood, rubber, synthetic, or aluminium alloy. Rubber steps appear in the lower end of ladder because sometimes it will in water and rubber is not easy to wear out than wood. These ladders should be certified by class societies and SOLAS. In IMPA book, their codes are 232001, 232002 and 232056, 232061.
