Accommodation ladder refers to big or long ladder used for cargo ships, cruiser, etc, often 8mtr, 11mtrs or longer. Gangway ladder and wharf ladder often mean shorter (4mtr, 5mtr), lighter ladders which are portable easily. Crews use all above names in daily life. Nowadays the ladders are made of aluminium alloy material, rather than steel because Alum Alloy is lighter, anti corrosion and easy maintenance.
